Spacious two-bedroom apartment in a historic Art Deco building adjacent to the Detroit Institute of Arts. Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo stayed in this building when he was working on the Detroit Industry murals at the DIA! Our private guest suite has a comfy airbed, private bath and large-screen TV.

Location

We are in the heart of Detroit's Midtown area, a block from Wayne State University and the College for Creative Studies and adjacent to the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Historical Museum. We are on the city's main thoroughfare, with frequent bus service to other cultural and historic site as well as downtown and the Riverfront. There is paid and free parking nearby.

I can't imagine better Freebird guests than Bobbie and Joe.

All the logistics and communication worked out really well. They asked the right questions before they arrived, for example, about arriving and parking.

They made really good use of their time in San Francisco, so didn’t spend much time “at home”. However, they are both interesting and interested: so I really enjoyed our few chats. I’d be delighted to host them again.
